Great place, we didn't have food but overall very friendly staff and patrons. Fast service and atmosphere.
I had the absolute best time! Was treated like royalty - I’m obsessed with the stew - real authentic Irish experience - even met some French speaking staff - thanks Manus and Joanna for making my dinner experience fun and welcoming
As a gin lover we stopped here on a whim and tried a great local gin, Glendalough Rose, and knew we wanted to come back. After a week touring around Ireland and returning to Dublin, we came back for another drink and decided to try dinner here as well.
Roast chicken was awesome, maybe just a touch dry but the flavors were great and it wasnt a problem with the delicious gravy and potatoes
We also have the Beetroot and goat cheese salad. Probably the healthiest thing I ate in Ireland. Absolutely beautiful and so full of flavor.
We went with the Dingle gin this time and our night was complete.
I meant to write this review a long time ago (October of 2024), we stayed in Dublin for our honeymoon (traveled from Pennsylvania). I have family in Dublin and Cavan where my Grandmother is originally from and wanted to show my husband Ireland. We stopped into Gin Palace I believe it was night 1 since I LOVE Gin and we were hooked. This place became our night cap hangout for the entire week, I'm sure the bartenders were sick of seeing us. We made friends with the one bartender (young guy with light brown hair in a ponytail). The drinks were always amazing and it was great to try so many new Gin since we don't have a lot of variety in the states. I was so sad when we had to leave knowing I would not get to visit this place again for who knows how long but if you are in the area looking for a quiet hang out with great drinks I highly recommend, I wish we would have gone once to eat since I didn't get to try any of their food, just the alcohol! Even on our last night we brought some new friends who we had made over for some drinks, highly recommended!
We were very pleased with the quality / quantity of food we enjoyed on 3 occasions during our 12 day visit to Dublin (with a couple of day trips away). Well located close to the Ha'Penny Bridge by Temple Bar area (opposite the Hotel Motel One). Bartender on our first visit also recommended a nearby restaurant for breakfast that was also very enjoyable. Would definitely be back if it wasn't almost 6000 kilometers away.
